Kuchipudi, that Indian classical dance for that has captivated the entire world, is the overwhelming passion of Karothi Venkata Satyanarayana. Honored with the title Natyakala Visarada, he is a world renowned Kuchipudi dancer, choreographer, lyricist and composer from Andhra Pradesh. Pursuing his career with the devotion and dedication to his muse, he has won innumerable accolades and unrivalled appreciation for his brilliant compositions and rendition in choreography, dance direction commended for his gifted mastery over Kuchipudi. A shining star in the glittering galaxy of classical dance he is unequaled in imparting his immense talent to a stream of disciples who consider themselves fortunate to be under his tutelage. Supremely talented, utterly devoted to his art, the dance form of Kuchipudi, Karothi Venkata Satyanarayana, with a desire to impart his knowledge to aspiring future artists, established in 1982 a premier institute of dance, the Sri Satya Kuchipudi and Janapada Nritya Academy, which offers the best training in the disciplines of classical and folk dance. His name and fame have not only been confined to India, he is proud of his immense following and innumerable disciples all over the world. Since 1989, he has been performing in the Unites States, captivating audiences with his performances and coaching many eager disciples in classical dance in many centers across the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Malaysia and nearer home, in Singapore. He honored with prestigious titles like Kalaswathi, Adhrasa Kalamurthy, NatyaKalaprapoorna, Natya KalaVeepanchi and Natya Kala Choodamani . He was offered Kanakabhishekam, a decoration of golden flowers on the head at Nuziveedu. His dancing feet was decorated with Gandapenderam, a golden anklet by Indian Association of Imphal, Manipur State. His graceful wrists were decorated with Swarna Kanakam,a golden bracelet at Youngstown United States, and by Krishna Mahotsav Committee, Machilipatnam. He was felicitated with Asthana Vidwan to Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam, Sri Ganapati Sachchitanada Asramam Mysore, Viswayogi Asramam Guntur. He has produced and choreographed many dance ballets in Kuchipudi style like Amukthamalyada, Pancha Kavya, Kalarachana, Pancha Kanya, Nruthyakshari, Sri Dattagadha, Sri Krishna Karnamrutham, Chinna Devi, Bhagyanagaram, Kanyaka, Puthadi Bomma Poornamma and himself written some dance Ballets and choreographed are Mahishasura Mardini, Mohini Bhasmasura, Buddham Sharanam Gacchami, Alamelumanga Viabhavam, Ram Katha, Sri Anjaneyam, Bramara Vijayam and Social themes like Ambhathkar, Vangi Vaibhavam, Mallika.
As a Stage Artiest, His versatile repertoire also comprises of several performances as a theater artist where he has skill full donned the role of the heroine in social dramas like Chilakottu Chittamma, Nirmala, Sikander, Palli Training, Urummadi Brathukulu, Sipochindi, Natakam and Atididavullu Vastunnaru. As a Choreographer for feature and tele films, He was a dance director for some acclaimed and award winning Indian classic movies such as Sruthilayalu, Swarnakamalam, Suthradharulu, and Swathikiranam. He was directed and presented Amukthamalayada Dance ballet in Doordarshan and also In Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel as Tele serial.
